Top 10 Places You Must See in Bali
Although the majority of our time on the island consisted of relaxing by the resort’s pool, often with a cocktail in hand, with so many places to see and the fact it was our first-time to Bali we did make sure to venture out.

No. 1 - Rock Bar AT Ayana Resort and Spa | Jimbaran
If you haven't visited the Rock Bar, located within the Ayana Resort and Spa, have you really been to Bali? Arguably the worst kept secret in all of Bali, the Rock Bar is one of those almost obligatory places you just have to visit when you venture to the island. Sunset, rather unsurprisingly is the busiest and most popular time to visit. Unfortunately, when we visited it was overcast and raining, but next time I'm looking forward to catching one of those epic Balinese sunsets.
No. 2 - Potato Head Beach Club | Seminyak
Undeniably a crowd favourite, a visit to Potato Head Beach Club is a must when in Bali. Its enviable, absolute beachfront location coupled with its heavenly infinity-edge pool makes it simply one of the best spots in all of Bali to catch the setting sun. However, it's worthwhile getting there a couple of hours before sunset, in order to secure a daybed close to the pool - we were super lucky with this when we visited.
No. 3 - Ku De Ta | Seminyak
Think uber-luxe beach club; Ku De Ta is the place to hang all day long. It is a lot smaller than other beach clubs, however, this makes it feel so much more exclusive and private. So if you're lucky enough to secure a daybed steps from the infinity pool I suggest you lie back and enjoy, until closing.
No. 4 - Azul Beach Club | Legian
The coolest 'Tiki-themed treehouse place' you will ever see. Right across from Legian Beach, Azul Beach Club is worth a visit, even if it is just for a quick pit stop to escape Bali's relentless heat and humidity. Doing so you'll be able to check out the club's awesome interior and even provide you with an opportunity to take a dip in its pool, located upstairs - undoubtedly going to be quieter than Potato Head's or Ku de Ta's pool.
No. 5 - Ju-Ma-Na Restaurant AT Banyan Tree Bali | Uluwatu
Nestled within the luxurious Banyan Tree Hotel, Ju-Ma-Na Restaurant is simply breath-taking and perfect for a truly unforgettable fine-dining experience. Its position high on the cliffs in Uluwatu means azure blue water as far as the eye can see, so make a reservation, put your glad rags on and saviour every moment.
No. 6 - Uluwatu Temple | Uluwatu
Standing right on the edge, looking out at the blue water is beautiful and comes highly recommended. Though, a word of warning, if planning a visit to the temple make sure you look out for the monkeys, and maybe keep belongings - sunglasses in particular - out of sight, you may never see them again if you choose to ignore this advice.
No. 7 - Single Fin | Uluwatu
Although it can take a while to get here - it took us a while anyway - due to Bali's notorious traffic, it's well worth the journey. Sitting high on the cliffs, Single Fin acts as an ideal spot to watch the surfers down below, and of course the sunset. More a backpacker hangout than a place to be seen, Single Fin's unashamedly rustic, raw and rugged nature makes it feel more like the true Bali. A visit here then really does come as a refreshing change to the sleek, modern beach clubs and resorts that litter the island.
No. 8 - Seminyak Italian Food AT Double-Six Luxury Hotel | Seminyak
Admittedly not serving authentic Balinese food - you might've guessed from its name - but Seminyak Italian Food, located within the Double Six Luxury Hotel, overlooking the hotel's pool is the place to go when you're feeling in the mood for Italian.
No. 9 - Seafood Feast on the Beach | Jimbaran
Taking beachfront dining to the next level; indulging in a seafood feast on the beach in Jimbaran is an experience in all its self. Strolling up and down Jimbaran Beach you can't miss the seemingly endless row of tables and coloured umbrellas, which belong to the various restaurants, all promising to offer the best seafood in all of Bali. It can be overwhelming at first, but simply stroll and check a few out before pulling up a chair and enjoying a feast of seafood with sand between your toes and the soothing sounds of the ocean in your ears.
No. 10 - Rooftop Sunset Bar AT Double-Six Luxury Hotel | Seminyak
As its name suggests the ideal time to come up to this trendy rooftop bar is at sunset. Situated atop the incredibly lavish Double-Six Luxury Hotel, the Rooftop Sunset Bar offers sweeping views over the beach and the ocean; plus features several circular lounges submerged into water, right on the edge.
