Pullman Port Douglas Sea Temple Resort
Set on almost ten acres and featuring a three thousand square metre lagoon pool, Pullman Port Douglas Sea Temple Resort & Spa is a luxurious tropical oasis you’ll never want to tear yourself away from.
…though the resort is only steps from the tail-end of Four Mile Beach and a short five-minute shuttle ride to Port Douglas’ town centre.
THE ROOM.
Nearly all the accommodation options at Pullman Port Douglas feature a fully-equipped gourmet kitchen, spacious lounge and dining area, and laundry facilities, making the resort perfect for families or groups and for longer stays. Particularly, the resort consists of a series of luxurious One, Two, and Three-Bedroom Apartments, with the option to upgrade to a swim-out apartment, one with a private rooftop terrace, or its own private plunge pool. Plus, there are a handful of two-story, beachside Three-Bedroom Villas, and ideal for singles or couples looking for a weekend away, there are a select number of Studio Spa Rooms that are not self-contained.
During our time at the resort we opted to stay in one of the resort’s incredibly spacious Standard Two-Bedroom Apartments, which was situated only steps from a private section of the lagoon pool.
AMENITIES.
The pool at the Pullman Port Douglas proves size does matter. From the moment you arrive, the resort’s expansive lagoon pool beckons you to leave your bags at reception and immediately take a dip. With the whole resort built around the crystal clear 3,000 square metre lagoon pool, it really is the centerpiece of the entire resort. Fringed by soaring palms and lit by in-built flame torches by night, this no doubt has to be one of the largest and best pools in the country.
DINING.
Offering casual, relaxed poolside dining, Aluco’s Mediterranean-inspired menu is perfect for sharing, with a series of delicious nibbles ‘while you wait’ and a mix of tempting small and large plates available to order. Plus, with the restaurant’s chef a strong advocate for local produce and supporting local farmers and quality producers, the menu makes the most out of the region’s incredible produce.
