Hyatt Regency Brisbane
Occupying the former site of the NEXT Hotel, the five-star Hyatt Regency Brisbane is centrally located right in the heart of Brisbane’s Central Business District, merely a stone’s throw from the city’s best shops, restaurants and bars.
With Queen Street Mall literally on its doorstep, the 292-room Hyatt Regency is the ultimate place to base yourself for when you’re looking to do some serious shopping. Beyond retail therapy, the restaurants and bars of Eagle Street Pier and the sights of South Bank across the river are all within easy walking distance.
THE ROOM.
Our home away from home during our staycation in the city was the Twin Riverview Room. As the name suggests, the room featured two twin beds and offered stunning views of the Brisbane River as well as the city. Although not particularly large in the size at 31 square meters, thanks to a smart, very open layout the room felt spacious. Owing to this clever design, the room also comprised a comfortable workstation and an armchair, providing guests everything you’d need and expect for a short getaway in the city.
AMENITIES.
Perched four floors above Queen Street Mall is where you’ll find the property’s inviting 20m rooftop infinity-edged pool. Here you can choose to swim a few laps, enjoy a book whilst basking in the sun on one of the many sun loungers which frame the pool, or enjoy a beverage and bite to eat as you people watch.
The property also offers flexible meeting space and a 24-hour, state-of-the-art fitness centre.
DINING.
Situated beyond reception on Level 2 and an escalator ride from Queen Street Mall is Lennons Restaurant and Bar, the property’s main, signature eatery. Open from 6.30am to late every day, Lennons is your go-to for pastries, coffee, tea and a delicious cooked breakfast in the morning and a multi-course meal in the afternoon. All the food served at Lennons has a focus on seasonal ingredients from local producers and its bar features a great selection of local and international beer and Australian wines.
