Raffles The Palm Dubai
There’s grand, then there’s the Raffles The Palm Dubai. Designed to resemble an 18th-century European palace, Raffles The Palm Dubai is no ordinary luxury, five-star hotel, rather it is unashamedly over-the-top and fabulously ultra-luxe - think 24-karat gold and silver leaf and chandeliers everywhere you look, including one comprising of 40,000 individual Swarovski crystals and weighing one tonne.
As palatial as it gets, this resplendent hotel is like something out of a fairytale.
THE ROOM.
Looking at the size of the property, it’s rather surprising the resort only comprises 381 rooms. Though that’s before realising how stupidly spacious each one of them is (the largest rooms on The Palm), with each featuring a glittering chandelier, its own terrace, and an elaborate stately marble bathroom with tub, shower, dual vanities, and luxe toiletries. We stayed in a Premier Ocean Room.
AMENITIES.
Guests can choose to laze by the sprawling outdoor pool or the 500-metre private beach, with incredible views of the Arabian Gulf and ever-growing metropolis of Dubai in the distance.
