Harbour Rocks Hotel
Set in Sydney’s historic The Rocks precinct, mere steps from Circular Quay, the aptly-named Harbour Rocks Hotel is a beautifully-preserved heritage hotel that oozes character and yesteryear charm. Built in 1887 on the original grounds of Sydney’s first hospital, this five-star boutique hotel is steeped in history and where the past meets the present.
THE ROOM.
Despite its past, each of the hotel’s 59 guest rooms are equipped with modern facilities and contemporary comfort whilst still keeping its heritage elements such as the original workers’ bricks and sandstones. Plus many of the rooms offer million-dollar views of Sydney’s two iconic sights - aka Sydney’s Harbour Bridge and Opera House - from the window.
DINING.
The hotel’s main restaurant, Tayim is set in a historic sandstone cavern and offers diners a blend of modern and traditional Middle Eastern cuisine.
A hidden little oasis in the heart of The Rocks, Terrace by Tayim is a leafy garden terrace overlooking the street below whereby guests can enjoy a drink or two along with Middle Eastern-inspired snacks.
