Wining and Dining at Eagle Street Pier
From white table-clothed fine dining establishments reserved for the celebration of the most special of occasions to relaxed, casual bars perfect for catching up with mates for after-work drinks, the Eagle Street Pier precinct offers something for everyone.
For all the other must-try foodie spots in Brisbane beyond Eagle Street Pier:
MADAME WU
Above the Riverbar and Kitchen and directly above Kingsleys you’ll find Madame Wu, offering one of the best riverside views in Brisbane. Like an increasing number of restaurants and bars the menu has been designed for sharing, which allows you to order a selection of the modern East-Asian dishes available. Both dishes we ordered, the prawn toast and pan-fried scallop dumplings, unexpectedly looked and tasted quite a bit different to their traditional form, though were nonetheless absolutely delicious and would definitely recommend! Notably, Madame Wu also offers banquet options, if you’re really hungry or dining with a large group.

Riverbar & Kitchen
Located right on the river in Eagle Street Pier, the Riverbar and Kitchen is a one-of-a-kind waterfront destination and is arguably the best place to be as the sun sets at the end of the working week. The atmosphere is truly unbeatable on a Friday or Saturday night, but you'll have to be quick to secure one of the highly coveted bench seats that spill out onto the pathway, as it's hardly Brisbane's best-kept secret. Pizzas and burgers and delicious snacks, all designed for sharing among friends, feature prominently on the menu here, and this same sharing philosophy is carried across to its extensive drinks menu with a number of cocktail jugs on offer.

Bringing a distinct, contemporary spin to tried and tested Japanese flavours, Saké’s menu comprises of signature dishes like miso-glazed Glacier 51 toothfish, hiramasa kingfish with soy dressing, popcorn tempura shrimp, nori crips with tuna, and, of course, a comprehensive list of premium Japanese saké. You can choose to order a la carte, but with a menu you’ll be wonton more of (or all of), leave your meal in the hands of one of the restaurant’s chefs and choose one of the three banquet menus available.

Jade Buddha Bar & Kitchen
Jade Buddha is a much-loved favourite among Brisbanites, for it offers unbeatable views and unbeatable prices. Easily one of the most affordable places to eat and drink within the Eagle Street Pier area, Jade Buddha cannot be beaten when looking for an afternoon tipple or bite to eat. This is in part owing to its daily happy hour (from 4-6pm) which offers patrons beers and wines for as little as $5.50, and select cocktails – think Cosmopolitans, Pimm's, Espresso Martinis and Aperol Spritzes - for $7.50. Plus, every day throughout the week Jade Buddha also has daily specials, so it’s worth checking them out also – Wednesday is my favourite, when all cocktails are only $10.00 - all day and all night!

Bar Pacino
Perched high above the walkway which meanders its way along the Brisbane River, Bar Pacino offers stunning panoramic views of the river and Story Bridge and is arguably one of the best places to dine waterfront in Brisbane. A delicious pasta dish, like the prawn linguini, perfectly paired with a refreshing Aperol Spritz at this Italian-inspired venue makes for an ideal lunch or dinner any day of the week.

Occupying the expansive space directly upstairs from Il Centro and Cha Cha Char, the Bavarian Bier Café’s massive wraparound, outdoor verandah is the perfect spot to catch up with friends while enjoying a few beers and a drool-worthy schnitzel.
