The Westin Perth
Barely seven months old upon check-in makes The Westin Perth one of the latest in a recent influx of luxury five-star hotels that have sprung up across the city within the last few years.
Ideally located for exploration, the 368-room hotel is situated along Hay Street in Perth's rejuvenated east end, in the recently developed area known as Hibernian Place. Dubbed as an inner-city marketplace purpose-built for people, Hibernian Place offers a thoughtfully curated mix of hospitality operators, said to be suited, whether for a lunch break or to wine and dine way into the late hours.

THE ROOM.
Staying in a Deluxe Double Room type on the sixth floor, the room was everything you would expect from a hotel of The Westin's calibre - modern, clean, functional. However, the feeling of space was something that stood out, comparatively to other hotels stayed at, as owing to the room's clever design every square metre of the forty-five square metre room was optimally utilised. As beyond the two double beds, the room also featured a two-seater table and lounge.
AMENITIES.
The hotel's fourth floor is where you'll find all the property's note-worthy amenities, namely the heated, outdoor infinity-edge pool, the 24/7, state-of-the-art gym (so I was told!) and the heavenly looking and uber-luxurious Bodhi J day spa.
DINING.
The hotel offers guests a couple of choices, in regard to dining, namely the property's signature Italian restaurant, Garum, and the Haven Lounge. Otherwise, as the hotel is located within Hibernian Place, an array of other dining options are available to guests, quite literally on the property's doorstep. From award-winning burgers to a sleek rooftop with a Middle-Eastern aesthetic to a Japanese whiskey bar, you will not have to resort to ordering room service.
Plus, if you’re prepared to travel a little further and looking to explore, The Westin Perth is positioned right within the heart of Perth, within walking distance to some of the city’s best restaurants and bars (read about where to eat and drink in Perth here).
Housed in the beautifully restored, heritage-listed Hibernian Hall, Garum is renowned, celebrity chef, Guy Grossi's restaurant. Although regrettably not dining here this time around, the food here is said to be delicious. So, if you're ever craving Italian during your stay, this is unmistakably the place to immediately head.

HAVEN LOUNGE
Haven Lounge is situated within the hotel's foyer area, which features a terrace for alfresco dining, in which flows out onto Hibernian Place's central plaza. While staying at the hotel we enjoyed an a la carte breakfast at the lounge, favouring this over the buffet breakfast offered at the adjoining Garum restaurant.
